MAGNETAWAN: "The fires are burning in Magnetawan."
These words are attributed to the acting agent for the Magnetawan Marina ­ Aldon Schlosser.
And no, this is not a clever analogy to describe the ongoing "controversy" surrounding the skeletal remains of the marina, but a literal description of the current state of affairs in the village of Magnetawan.
Schlosser ­ who has told Almaguin News that his outright purchase of Magnetawan Marina is imminent ­ started burning the wooden remains of the marina on Christmas Eve, December 24th and continued to do so as of Monday, December 30th. Story
